Kenso Professional Services is a professional association that offers vocational training services provider to both formal and non formal applicants particularly focused training, assessment and certification of skilled workers ( recognition of prior learning, skills and experience) on job and off job training. Kenso proffessional Services provides career development, personal development, professional development and long life learning and share our knowledge and technical expertise as well as protecting the quality and intregrity of vocational professionals,   KENSO was established in 2009 at Bweyogerere Kazinga-Wakiso Uganda East Africa , Then real work was in 2011 and the incorporation in 2014 after a critical careful assessment of the staffing. Kenso Proffessional Services (KPS)  are registered entity by registrar of companies in Uganda Reg: No 80020002013410 and registered by Ministry of Education and Sports Reg:  UVQF 1068 ,MAC 1301 under Directorate of industrial training (D.I.T) and BTEVT  UBT453 that awards professional recognition awards, corresponding to the traineeship ,apprentiship, affiliateship extra .

Together we have aided a number of professionals especially from the informal sector to raise their level of competition in the job market and contribute to the success of companies, Organizations, communities, individuals and economies around the world,   Kenso proffessional services has an active, complete and timely skilling,traing,and accessment workforce. As academics is important, expertise is equally important as sometimes an experience is more valuable than a qualification. Thanks to Recognition of Prior Learning and Recognition of prior Experience now your previous skills, experience and working knowledge can reduce / lessen the time it takes you to complete a course and get you working towards your career goals faster. It might be difficult to find the time and effort to fit in an entire course into our lives, especially for those already working and juggling other commitments. Despite the convenient of distance learning program courses, there can still be an issue time. This is where Recognition of Prior Learning and Prior Experience comes into play, where your previous skills ,experience or qualifications can shorten the time it takes to undergo a professional course and allow you to eligible for qualifications you may not otherwise be able to do.  For instance, you can use Recognition of Prior Learning (R.P.L) or Recognition of Prior Experience (R.P.E) to claim a qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning can come from previous study, employment, voluntary work and in-service training program and R.P.L is also known as prior learning assessment and recognition of skilled workers. Also termed as continuing education.

The Relevance of Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning commonly referred to as RPL is an effective way for experts with verified or quality industry experience get qualifications fast. It is the recognition of fully proficient knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, and abilities that have been proved which are usually gained through the working environment and the experiences one goes through in life.

Skills can be identified through assessment, mediation, identification, and acknowledgment of expertise acquired through the regular education system or our daily experiences with life. If you want to pursue a specific course, then you should figure out the kind of skills you have and where your interest lies.

Skills recognition and recognition of prior learning may see you land a qualification without the need to study. It is a simple procedure for evaluating one’s knowledge and skills without considering where or how they studied. Recognition of prior learning is usually carried out in further education and training, higher education and training, adult basic education and training and in general education training.

Workplace-based education training centers, formal institutions, and small private single purpose providers also practice RPL. Recognition of prior learning can be used during a job change, promotions, progressing through a specific learning program and personal development or certification of the skills you have at the moment without the need of going through a progression.
